Jacinda has a rare ability to breath-fire which is an honor in her (Pride or community of dragons).

One night, the stress of her responsibility builds high and Jacinda acts out. She breaks the rule of flying at night that protects the Draki from their enemies, hunters who are ruthless in their quest to kill the draki population. Jacinda is found in the woods by a hunter named Will, she is terrified but Will is entranced by her beauty and lets her free. Her mother fears that her actions will cause the Pride to punish her viciously so she makes Jacinda and her twin sister move out of the Pride into a city near Las Vegas.

There she is reunited with her Savior Will they form a friendship that evolves into love. The human world makes her have to condemn her draki form but she goes back to the pride she’ll lose Will and her family.

Firelight was highly Climatic, each chapter’s ending made me eager to see what would happen next. Firlight had a little case of rushed romance syndrome where the pace of the romance was very unnaturally fast but that was only a minor con.

A character I was very fond of was Cassian, the Prince of the Pride, who was planned to marry Jacinda to produce a further line of fire-breathers like Jacinda.

Cassian was more of a side character and didn’t appear a lot throughout the book but when he did he made a big impact, more so than Will and Jacinda combined.

Sophie’s writing style is fresh and original I love how she makes Jacinda’s female character strong-willed and observant.

Although, I must say the ending was unsatisfying because it ended a little and abrupt left you hanging, but I still look forward to the next book in this thrilling new trilogy.

4 Moons!
Jadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08470642345175910137noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2570443964179860543.post-39979855222534219802010-09-05T14:45:00.005-05:002010-09-05T19:55:57.675-05:00In My Mailbox(20)
In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren.

This is combined In My Mailbox for the 5 0r 4 weeks I was not posting.

For Review:

Losing Faith by Denise Jaden

Matched by Alley Condie

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collion

Portal by Imogen Rose

Equilibruim by Imogen Rose

Gift:

Bloombury Thank You Gift

Need by Carrie Jones ,The Kid Table by Andrea Sigel, Hearts at Stake by Alyandra Harvey, Blood Fued by Alyxedra Harvey, Out for Blood by Alyxandra Harvey, and a sneak peak of Haunting Violets by Alyandra Harvey
Jadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08470642345175910137noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2570443964179860543.post-6389876748496639052010-09-05T11:52:00.006-05:002010-09-05T14:43:43.382-05:00Update-What I've been doing

Hey Everone I am so sorry for abandoning you for almost a whole month but I have been so busy because school has just started so am a little occupied with homework already .I would say that I have some reviews comeing up but i don't cause haven't really read that much these weeks I have read a little bit of Matched and Mockingjay which is so amazing I am so mad at myself for leaving it over my friends house but I know it will have good company with her Mockingjay copy.
Jadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08470642345175910137noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2570443964179860543.post-26403708837258859812010-08-07T22:49:00.008-05:002010-08-08T02:50:27.469-05:00In My Mailbox(20)
In My Mailbox is hosted The Story Siren.

For Review:

Past Midnight by Mara Purnhagen

From Harlequin Teen Panel:

My Soul to Keep by Rachel Vincent

Thank you to Mara Purnhagen and Harlequin Teen Panel

I am so excited about Past Midnight I can't say anything about My Soul to Take because I haven't finished My Soul to Save Yeah I kinda been slacken on reading and writing review mostly because all the books I read seem the same I need a book that going to rekindle my love for books . Nick are soul mates, meant to be together forever. But that’s not quite how things have worked out.

For starters, well, Nick is dead. Supposedly, he’s been taken to a mythic place for warriors known as Valhalla, so Zara and her friends might be able to get him back. But it’s taking time, and meanwhile a group of evil pixies is devastating Bedford, with more teens going missing every day. An all-out war seems imminent, and the good guys need all the warriors they can find. But how to get to Valhalla?

And even if Zara and her friends discover the way, there’s that other small problem: Zara’s been pixie kissed. When she finds Nick, will he even want to go with her? Especially since she hasn’t just turned… She’s Astley’s queen.

Cover Comment: I so happy that Entice is coming this year I don't think I could have waited until January 2011 (that was the original date for Entice) I love how there all ways gold glitter on the covers for the Need series aka pixie dust this cover is pretty much just as awesome as the rest where.Jadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08470642345175910137noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2570443964179860543.post-38721522111131146092010-07-24T23:06:00.002-05:002010-07-25T06:31:32.082-05:00In My Mailbox(18)
In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren.

For Review:

Plain Kate By Erin Bow(Finished Copy)

Thanks Scholastic!

Jadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08470642345175910137noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2570443964179860543.post-27009174369437780902010-07-23T17:36:00.007-05:002010-07-23T21:03:17.662-05:00The Book Blog Hop and Folow My Book Blog Friday(4)<img style="WIDTH: 200px; I read the first book The Devouring last year almost around the time I decided to make this blog and I really did love it then but know that I see that the series can be continuously good I am a full out fan.In this second book in Devouring series it a few moths after the first book and now it is almost summer solstice and it is almost time for Reggie to end her freshmen year and go on summer break but Reggie starts having disturbing dreams and then when her little brother Henry tries too harm a school bully that causes Reggie to think something is up and when someone she thought see killed months ago wakes her up in the middle of the night offer her a deal and a possibly alliance she is to say the least at first is terrified but she must weigh her options.Holt has a true way of translating fear and horror on to the pages and I love that he can always find a way to throw a thrilling twist at you. Holt can also have it were the character fade to the back and have the plot drive the story and some do not like that but me on the other loved it because in unique books like this the characters do not have to dominate the book in order for the story to be great.another thing Holt has achieved in writing a series that is purely what says it is not some fluffy romance that is secretly packed inside no it is a true horror book that needs not mislead you .The ending is sad and surprising it get you think that it might just be happy end then it unveils into a nightmare of torture for are main character Reggie.

Overall: Soulstice is almost at top of my favorite book of all time list so if you have not read the The Devouring series than I suggest you do.
5 Moons

Jadahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08470642345175910137noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2570443964179860543.post-84784525133563471812010-07-15T00:44:00.006-05:002010-07-15T01:00:55.237-05:00Across The Universe Cover

Summary:Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen
cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects
to awaken on a new planet, three hundred
years in the future.
