Princess for Hire Review

Summary:When a well-dressed woman steps out of a bubble and wants to know if you'd like to become a substitute princess, do you A) run B) faint C) say yes? For Desi Bascomb, who's been longing for some glamour in her Idaho life, the choice is a definite C). Desi has a rare ability: with the help of "Royal Rouge," she can temporarily transform into the exact look-alike of any princess who needs her subbing services. Dream come true, right? Well, Desi soon discovers that subbing involves a lot more than wearing a tiara and waving at cameras.... In this winning debut, one girl's dream of glamour transforms into the desire to make a positive impact. And an impact Desi makes, one royal fiasco at a time.

My feelings: Princess for Hire is a fun, whimsical read that many will find Irresistible.I loved Desi she was relatable, funny and, easy to like.during this whole book I never felt like I wanted stop reading because it was too boring or dull it always kept me entertained which is very rare.In this book Desi takes the place/substitute for princesses who want to take a break and get away.Desi finds her self in some weird situations but somehow ends up making things better because she does what she believes is right. The plot moved quickly in this book which was really good because I hate (dislike) books that have plots that seem to drag on forever. The end of this book made me so happy but yet so sad at the same time because Desi finally realizes who is the right guy for her but it might be near impossible for them to be together.

Overall: Princess for Hire is a magical book by debut author Lindsey Levitt That brings out your inner princess.

Firespell Review

Summary:As the new girl at the elite St. Sophia’s boarding school, Lily Parker thinks her classmates are the most monstrous things she’ll have to face… When Lily’s guardians decided to send her away to a fancy boarding school in Chicago, she was shocked. So was St. Sophia’s. Lily’s ultra-rich brat pack classmates think Lily should be the punchline to every joke, and on top of that, she’s hearing strange noises and seeing bizarre things in the shadows of the creepy building. The only thing keeping her sane is her roommate, Scout, but even Scout’s a little weird—she keeps disappearing late at night and won’t tell Lily where she’s been. But when a prank leaves Lily trapped in the catacombs beneath the school, Lily finds Scout running from a real monster. Scout’s a member of a splinter group of rebel teens with unique magical talents, who’ve sworn to protect the city against demons, vampires, and Reapers, magic users who’ve been corrupted by their power. And when Lily finds herself in the line of a firespell, Scout tells her the truth about her secret life, even though Lily has no powers of her own—at least none that she’s discovered yet…

My Feelings: Firespell is an enjoyable read that had a few twist and turns but at times it got a little predictable but still kept my interest. Lilly story begins when she goes to a ritzy boarding school in Chicago while her parents teach far away in Europe. When Lilly arrives she meets her roommate Scout who has a little of a rebelish side. Soon she notices that Scout is always mysteriously leaving. Little does that Scout is holding a few secrets of her own that may even involve her. When Lilly meets Jason who is a friend of Scout she can not help but become immersed in his sky blue eyes. I enjoyed Lilly character because she was not afraid to say what she wanted and didn't let people push her over. Although she did have her naïve moments. The plot was good but it did start out a little slow but it gradually got better and the supernatral elements helped move the story along . I felt the Supernatural part of this book was put more in the background and although the story did revolve around the supernatural parts there could have been a little bit more but even so this book was still very well-balanced. The ending of the book was interesting and left space for a second book .

Overall: Firespell was a short and satisfying read.

Grace Cover

Wow! I must say this cover is gorgeous I don't think I've ever seen a cover as beautiful as this it's like a piece of fine artwork you find somewhere in a art gallery. When this book comes out I will definitely be buying it.

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins(Finally Out)

Hex Hall is finally out and I am so happy I've been waiting for months to read this so hopefully tomorrow I might stop over to my Barnes and Noble and buy one.

Released date: March 1( yesterday!!)

Summary:When Sophie Mercer turned thirteen, she discovered that she was a witch. It's gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-Gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie's estranged father--an elusive European warlock--only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it's her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hecate Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward prodigium, a.k.a. witches, fae, and shapeshifters. By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard. Three powerful enemies who look like supermodels; a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock; a creepy, tag-along ghost; and a new roommate, who happens to be the most-hated person and only vampire on campus. Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her friend Jenna is the number one suspect. Meanwhile, Sophie has a more personal shock to grapple with. Not only is her father the head of the prodigium council, he's the most powerful warlock in the world, and Sophie is his heir. As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all prodigium, especially her.

Cover comment: I love the reflection in the lake its so different I wonder how it applies to the book guess i'll have to read it to find out.
